Board Certification
What is board certification?
When a physician (doctor of medicine [MD]) has finished the required education and training, he/she is evaluated by certifying boards. MDs who pass the evaluation in their specialty are said to be board-certified. Some specialty boards require MDs to be recertified regularly. They may also need regular education to keep their certification.
