Prime West Health System - Neighbor carying for Neighbor

Supplies

Incontinence Products:  Effective immediately, providers supplying incontinence products to PrimeWest recipients need to include a diagnosis code on all claims submitted to PrimeWest for reimbursement.

When billing for under pads, use procedure code T4541 and T4542.  Effective January 15, 2005, PrimeWest will no longer be reimbursing A4554 because the code is not descriptive enough for payment purposes.

Medical Supply:  When providing DME-Medical Supplies to individuals residing in a group home, use POS 14.

Diabetic Shoes: Effective 6/1/06 diabetic shoes will not require a service authorization.  If the claim submitted for the diabetic shoes has a diagnosis of diabetes, a service authorization will not be required.  All other types of specialty shoes will still require an authorization. (6/12/06)

HCPC CODE - T2029: When submitting claims for this code (medical supply) you will be required to include a descpription of the medical suppy you are billing for.   Because this is a generic code and can be used for many different types of supplies, beginning 5/1/06 we will require claims submitted with this code to have a description include on the claim form. (4/3/06)
