Circumcision: PrimeWest Health will cover circumcision only if medically necessary. Circumcisions will require prior authorization. If the authorization is approved, circumcision is billed to PrimeWest Health. In accordance with PrimeWest Health's requirement to give providers 45 days notice, this becomes effective 3/16/08. MN VFC Shortage: The MN Department of Health announced a shortage of the Influenza Vaccine for the Mn VFC program. Effective November 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008, providers may bill MN Health Care Programs (FFS) for purchased influenza vaccine and bill PrimeWest for the administration fee, for enrollees 18 years and younger.
